Meet Maria, a current Tour Project Manager who has been working at Prometour since 2008! Maria began her career here as an intern before having the opportunity to work in various departments-first in operations, then as a tour consultant and finally as a Tour Project Manager and Client Loyalty Supervisor. With such extensive knowledge and experience, Maria is an integral part of the Prometour team!
I was born and raised in Montreal (suburbs). My favorite hobbies include reading, travelling and cooking. I studied tourism in college.
Growing up I went to a private Greek school; therefore, I am also fluent in Greek besides English and French.
Prometour offered me an internship after college and I was then hired as a group coordinator.
I have travelled to France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Turcs and Caicos as well as New England in the USA.
I cannot pick a favorite destination! Each country has its own unique charm and beauty!
My favorite travel memories as a kid were spending the summers in Greece with my grandparents and cousins.
A few years ago, we travelled to Costa Rica with the office and that was a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit places and see things I had always dreamt of. It was one of my favorite trips!
Almost getting stranded in the middle of Cuba without any gas or way to get back to the resort.
Everything worked out in the end, but it was a stressful situation to be in as I was only 21 at the time without much travel experience.
I have too many to list…I can go on and on! Ireland and Scotland are next on the list, with Peru right after!
