# Maria Konstas - Tour Project Manager & Clients Loyalty Supervisor

**Meet Maria, a current Tour Project Manager who has been working at Prometour since 2008! Maria began her career here as an intern before having the opportunity to work in various departments-first in operations, then as a tour consultant and finally as a Tour Project Manager and Client Loyalty Supervisor. With such extensive knowledge and experience, Maria is an integral part of the Prometour team! **
### **Tell us about yourself!**
I was born and raised in Montreal (suburbs). My favorite hobbies include reading, travelling and cooking. I studied tourism in college.
Growing up I went to a private Greek school; therefore, I am also fluent in Greek besides English and French.

### **What made you apply to Prometour?**
Prometour offered me an internship after college and I was then hired as a group coordinator.
### **What are the top destinations you’ve visited and which was your favourite?**
I have travelled to France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Turcs and Caicos as well as New England in the USA.
I cannot pick a favorite destination! Each country has its own unique charm and beauty!

### **What was your best travel experience?**
My favorite travel memories as a kid were spending the summers in Greece with my grandparents and cousins.
A few years ago, we travelled to Costa Rica with the office and that was a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit places and see things I had always dreamt of. It was one of my favorite trips!
### **What was the craziest thing that has ever happened to you while traveling?**
Almost getting stranded in the middle of Cuba without any gas or way to get back to the resort.
Everything worked out in the end, but it was a stressful situation to be in as I was only 21 at the time without much travel experience.

### **What destinations are on your bucket list and why?**
I have too many to list…I can go on and on! Ireland and Scotland are next on the list, with Peru right after!
### **What is the most satisfying part of your job?**
Seeing pictures and reading the great feedback we get from our student travelers.
